The Rethink Mental Illness Wiltshire Mental Health Inclusion Service provides a community mental health service for those in Wiltshire. It is to help support you if you are feeling isolated or lonely due to your mental health and create opportunities of growth to access your local community. The service is jointly funded by Wiltshire Council and the Wiltshire Commissioning Group.

Who we support...

The service provides support for people:

  • Who suffer with mental ill-health, and
  • Are aged 16 years and over, and
  • Are a Wiltshire resident (or registered with a GP within Wiltshire)

What we provide...

The service has 4 main aspects of delivery which are:

  • Inclusion Support - We offer one-to-one support tailored to your needs, helping you to overcome mental health barriers to being involved and included in your local community. With this direct support you will be allocated an Inclusion Coach who will provide emotional and practical support towards a focused goal that helps you to access community services and/or help you get involved with your community. The support will typically be 8-12 sessions over a 3 month period.
  • Mental Health Hubs & Drop-Ins - We deliver community mental health drop-in hubs across the county - in Salisbury, Trowbridge, and Chippenham. The drop-in hubs are free for anyone needing support with their mental health and wellbeing. A chance to meet with one of our Inclusion Coaches and discuss what opportunities are available to you to help your wellbeing and find community support. Click here for flyer and full details.
  • Peer & Volunteer Opportunities  - We run a continuously evolving programme of peer support and volunteer opportunities. Individuals can access guidance from peers who may have had similar experiences, and anyone will be encouraged to be part of this network of peers. Key opportunities for the service currently are: Community Hub Volunteers (meeting and greeting others and providing local information); Digital Tech Buddies (helping people get online) and Travel Volunteers (supporting people to access public transport).
  • Online Mental Health Community - Clic is a free online community here to support everyone with their mental health. As part of this service and creation of a peer support network we have Clic Wiltshire community within Clic UK. Clic Wiltshire provides tailored advice, guidance and support for you and the area. Developed by its users, the Clic Wiltshire platform has a strong peer support aspect with features such as Clic Chat and Forums where users can chat and share advice. There are also directories for services and support in an Information & Support section. For more information or to register please click here: Clic Wiltshire
