Accessibility Statement
The goal of this website is to guarantee the accessibility of its content and services for individuals with disabilities who require additional access support. Resources have been dedicated to enhancing the website's user-friendliness and accessibility so that every individual can engage with digital content equally.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 level AA.
This website was last checked on the 10th June and is not compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA. The non-compliances are listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
1. Donation form inputs are not programmatically labelled
The donation form contains multiple fields that have no associated <label> elements. The ‘Mandatory fields’ notice is not linked to any specific inputs.
WCAG criterion: 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (Level A) and 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions (Level A).
2. Custom form controls have no accessible semantics
The donation form contains communication preference options (Phone, Email, SMS, Post), the one-off versus regular donation toggle, and the Gift Aid checkbox all use custom image-based. These controls will not be announced correctly by assistive technologies, and their checked or unchecked state cannot be determined programmatically.
WCAG criterion: 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value (Level A).
These non-compliance issues were detected on 10 June 2026 during an assessment was by Rethink Mental Illness and evaluated conformance against WCAG 2.2 at Level AA.
We are looking to fix these as quickly as possible and will update this page once we have a timeframe.
