People can contact the helpline in one of 3 ways

We are open 2pm to 9pm every night of the year. Calls are free, and do not show up on your mobile or telephone bill. Telephone support calls have a maximum duration of 30 minutes per night, with webchats and texts being available for up to 60 minutes.

The service is totally confidential, you do not need to divulge your name or any personal data. In rare cases if you, or someone you tell us about, need urgent emergency help we will try to obtain enough information from you to pass on to emergency services.  We may need to disclose this to emergency services in the event of immediate risk of significant harm to any individual you may tell us about.

If English is not your first language we can arrange to speak to you in your own language through an interpreter.
