Rethink Mental Illness responds to Time to Change closure
27 October 2020
Time to Change has sadly announced that its campaign will be ending on 31 March 2021. Responding to the news Mark Winstanley, CEO of Rethink Mental Illness, said:
“We’re incredibly proud of the success of Time to Change over the past 15 years and, alongside our partners at Mind, we’re sad to acknowledge that the campaign will soon come to a close.
"I’d like to extend my thanks to staff and volunteers past and present for their commitment to the campaign and for highlighting just what can be achieved in challenging mental health stigma. The campaign has undoubtedly done a huge amount to transform attitudes and promote understanding of what it means to live with mental illness.
"In the immediate future our focus will be on supporting our colleagues through this difficult period, but we remain determined to continue the spirit of the Time to Change campaign through our work as a charity.”
