Mental health in the workplace employers' toolkit

Managing mental health at work helps businesses to thrive. But quite apart from your ROI (Return On Investment), looking after the mental wellbeing of employees is, to put it simply, the right thing to do. Our new mental health in the workplace employers' toolkit supports an organisation like yours to develop the processes and knowledge to support the mental health of your workforce.

Based on the mental health section of the Workplace Wellbeing Charter (site currently under construction) and the equivalent mental health and wellbeing section of the London Healthy Workplace Charter for London-based organisations, our toolkit supports you on your journey towards the Charters’ formal accreditation of your commitment to improved mental health. It will help you both acquire and retain the most committed and valuable employees.

If you haven’t planned to start on an accreditation yet, you can still make the most of the toolkit as a guide towards improving attitude and culture around mental health within your workforce, as it includes a wealth of ideas to put into practice straight away.

You can get involved at whichever stage of your journey towards improved mental health – whether you’re just starting off or you’ve already implemented significant policies to support mental wellbeing at work.

Running through each of the levels of the Charters – Commitment, Achievement and Excellence – our Toolkit breaks down each standard point to give you practical, effective and often low-cost ideas of how to meet the requirements of the accreditation.
