Our Eckington craft group offers people living with mental illness the opportunity to come together and socialise. Our welcoming group also offers members the chance to develop a range of creative skills, including textiles and sewing, card-making, painting and drawing, in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment. The group is facilitated by friendly and experienced people with a variety of craft expertise. Generally, new members are referred to the group by outside agencies, but anyone is welcome to drop in to meet everyone.
We aim to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and fun environment for people with lived experience of mental illness and their carers. In our group, members can express themselves through art as a therapeutic approach.
