Rethink Mental Illness - support for siblings (South London)
Open to: Siblings
Vauxhall
This group meets once a month, please contact the group for details.
Group Coordinator: _
Our long running group is open to anyone who has a brother or sister with lived experience of mental illness. The relationship between siblings is different to any other relationship, and our group reflects that. We can give a good insight into how mental illness can change relationships and discuss the ways you can support your sibling and the rest of your family, both emotionally and practically.

Our very long running Wimbledon Wednesday Group has become a key source of information and support in the area. We provide information on local and national services and support and empower one another. The group is for anyone affected by mental illness who is or has been under a Community Mental Health Team. We also talk to local decision makers to try and improve the treatment of all those affected by mental illness. We meet every Wednesday of the year for a relaxed and friendly evening of games, low-cost food and drinks, bingo, chess, art and colouring, Scrabble, chatting and quizzes. We also have a quiet room for those who wish to use it. We have occasional outings, eg to the theatre, cinema, walks, days out to towns and cities, countryside and seaside. We are always looking to do more, so we would welcome any suggestions and support.
