Rethink Mental Illness - support for siblings (South London)

Open to: Siblings

The group usually meets roughly 9 times a year, on the last Wednesday of the month, but from time to time this may change. We meet between 7.30pm - 9pm on zoom which is open to siblings both within the UK and abroad. We mainly support siblings whose brother or sister has schizophrenia or bi-polar but will not turn anyone away who cannot find support elsewhere. The best way to contact the group is via our email address: All will receive a warm welcome.

Group Coordinator: Eleanor Murphy

Our long running group is open to anyone who has a brother or sister with lived experience of mental illness. The relationship between siblings is different to any other relationship, and our group reflects that. We can give a good insight into how mental illness can change relationships and discuss the ways you can support your sibling and the rest of your family, both emotionally and practically.
