How we produce our advice and information webpages
What is your advice and information content?
We have advice and information pages that cover many different aspects of mental health.
Is your advice and information content certified?
We are accredited by the Patient Information Forum and have PIF Tick certification. The PIF Tick is a UK-wide quality mark that shows health information is reliable, accurate, trustworthy, and clear and simple.
We do the following things to meet the PIF Tick criteria to ensure our advice and information is good quality:
- We have a defined and documented process for producing health and care information.
- A sign off process has been followed to ensure the final resource has adhered to quality control procedures.
- The information production process is reviewed annually.
- There is a process for reviewing and updating health and care information within appropriate timeframes.
- We have a process for version control and archiving, during production and for final versions.
- We have a designated person accountable for the overall quality of our advice and information content.
- Conflicts of interest are identified and recorded along with action taken.
- AI usage within our production process is clearly documented.
Do you get feedback?
When we produce or review information we obtain feedback. Members of our Information panel and others provide this.
The panel is made up of people who have experience of mental illness and their carers, and mental health professionals.
If you want to help us by joining our panel you can find out more on our Your voice matters - Help us improve our mental health information page.
Is your advice and information content accessible?
We try to make our advice and information content as accessible as possible. See our accessible advice page for more information.
Can I share your advice and information content?
Our information is protected by copyright. But we are happy for health care professionals and others to share our advice and information content.
Please do not reproduce our advice and information content without our permission. You can contact us at feedback@rethink.org
Do you use generative artificial intelligence?
If we use generative artificial intelligence to help us produce or review information we include the following statement on the relevant webpage:
“Have we used AI to create this content?
Some content on this page has been created or edited using generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools. All this content has been manually reviewed and edited by a trained member of our Advice and Information team. This is to ensure accuracy and compliance with our information procedures.”
