Trusts and statutory funds

We are extremely grateful for the funding we receive from charitable trusts and statutory funds. Their support helps us improve the lives of people severely affected by mental illness and bring about meaningful change.

Lloyds Bank Foundation

People with lived experience of mental illness regularly feed back to us poor experiences of the social security system. It leaves them feeling anxious, depressed and stigamtised. Our three-year partnership with the Lloyds Bank Foundation is allowing us to work with people who have lived experience of severe mental illness, to co-design an improved approach to ‘work capability assessments’ and guidance on a new approach to conditionality for people severely affected by mental illness, and campaign for these badly needed improvements.

Severn Trent Community Fund

The Severn Trent Community Fund’s support is improving the facilities, service provision and creating employment opportunities at John Hall Wellness Garden, Staffordshire. This grant allows us to build a brand-new classroom to host local initiatives, reducing isolation and building social connections within the community. In addition to a new classroom, we are able to establish a community café; giving service users critical employment skills and establishing the Garden as a welcoming hub of wellbeing that can be used by the whole community.

Sport England

Our three-year funded partnership with Sport England is enabling us to conduct crucial work. We are working with local stakeholders and experts by experience in Tower Hamlets and North East Lincolnshire, to understand and address systemic barriers to physical activity for people living with mental illness, and test interventions that target those identified.
