AI chatbots can be a useful self-help tool for your mental health. But they can also cause problems, like confusion or false beliefs.

Our partner charity, Mental Health UK, has published advice and information on artificial intelligence and mental health.  It explains the benefits and risks of using AI chatbots for general mental health support.

This webpage adds to Mental Health UK’s information. This page explains:

  • the possible links between AI chatbot use and symptoms of psychosis, including delusions, and
  • the risks to be aware of, and what you can do to stay safe.
