At Rethink Mental Illness, our staff networks are key to creating a truly inclusive culture. They provide a safe, welcoming space where colleagues can share ideas, voice concerns and connect, while also representing their interests directly to senior leaders.
Our staff networks are championed by executive sponsors, who are senior leaders with a vested interest in the success and impact of the networks they support. These sponsors play a critical role in advocating for the network, ensuring that its voices and needs are heard at the highest levels of leadership.
Having an executive sponsor means that the network receives not only visibility but also strategic backing to drive real change within the organisation. Sponsors help provide support for initiatives and ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion remain at the forefront of our work. Their leadership reinforces our commitment to creating a workplace where every employee has the opportunity to thrive.
We’re proud of the impact our staff networks have on equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across the charity. They give a platform to the unique perspectives of our team members, helping shape our EDI approach and guiding us as we grow.
Acting as a supportive, yet critical friend, our staff networks ensure we’re always learning and improving. They help us weave EDI into everything we do, making it a core part of our activities and functions.
