The Support Squad
Open to: Everyone
The Support Squad strive to bring together St. Mabyn residents and the surrounding local communities by promoting well-being and helping members of the group build valuable friendships.
We aim to offer emotional support to adults with lived experience of mental illness, whether it be personally, or as caregivers, friends, or family, and provide them with the practical help needed to access local and national services. This information, peer support and signposting will be offered alongside a chance to share experiences, make new friends, and try new things, hoping that those attending the group may feel less isolated, more informed, and able to cope better.
The Support Squad is a voluntary led peer support group, led by a group of five coordinators – we are a happy and supportive group who meet at St. Mabyn Peace Memorial Hall in the centre of the village. There is an accessible carpark within walking distance.
New members are encouraged to contact the group for joining details and information about the next meeting. So please drop us a line on the group email or call on the group phone to find out more – we look forward to meeting you!
Please note we aim to respond to emails and telephone messages everyday but sometimes it may take a little longer to get back to you.
