The Mead
Nursing and residential care
At The Mead we believe that anyone who suffers from mental illness has the opportunity to live life to the full. The Mead offers 24-hour support, so there are always trained staff on hand to support residents and deal with any problems that might arise. Each resident has a ‘key worker’ who takes a special interest in their wellbeing, supporting them in what they wish to achieve while living at the home. This could include taking a college course, improving daily-living skills, working towards managing their own medication, or working to improve self-confidence. Staff work in a person-centred way to support each resident to achieve their goals.
The service aims to support residents to become independent and move on to either a lower level support service or their own accommodation.
