Shipley Lodge
Nursing and residential care
Shipley Lodge is a 16-bed single-level building for male and female clients. It provides a welcoming, clean and comfortable environment with facilities that support recovery and increasing independence. Residents have own bedroom with en-suite wet room. There are communal kitchens, bathrooms with baths & various living and dining areas. There is a home kitchen and laundry, but people are supported to use the independent facilities as much as they are able. Every room has a ‘nurse call button’ and there are call points throughout the home. We encourage people to make their rooms their own with personal items and choices about décor.
Shipley Lodge is in the Derbyshire market town of Heanor, where there is a wide variety of shops a large supermarket and a shopping complex. Shipley Lodge is close to Shipley Country Park which has a visitor center, coffee shops, wildlife garden, children’s play areas, an events field & fishing ponds. Other leisure and education services and places of worship can all be found nearby. There are regular bus services to Ripley, Derby and Nottingham. The closest train station is a little over a mile away at Langley Mill with direct services to Nottingham.
