Co-Production: Get Involved
Rethink Mental Illness has been delivering co-production projects since 2011. This work has been delivered by our dedicated Co-Production team.
Together we our co production champions, we have developed a tried and tested approach which has delivered impactful service reviews, redesign recommendations and implementation plans.
Our work involves recruiting, supporting and empowering a core group of well networked community representatives (Co-production Champions).
We provide training and induction on co-production to the key stakeholders, such as commissioners and service providers, and develop mutual agreements on scope, project timelines and joint working.
"We believe that working alongside mental health trusts and schools, fostering knowledge and understanding about mental health from both sides of the conversations can only be a good thing" - Sarah
The Champions gather information and experience from their networks and are supported to identify the key findings or themes from their engagement exercises. Champions work closely with Commissioners and Service Planners to co-produce recommendations and changes based on their findings.
Finally next steps are agreed and implemented (aiming to embed co-production in ongoing planning processes and service delivery).
