Tuesday 12 August - In response to the news that the actor Robin Williams has died after a battle with severe depression, Mark Winstanley, CEO of the charity Rethink Mental Illness said:
“We are very sad to hear about the death of Robin Williams. This loss reminds us that anyone, anywhere, can be affected by severe mental health problems, no matter how incredibly talented and successful they are. It is all the more heartbreaking that a man who brought joy and laughter to millions around the world, could not find peace within himself. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.”
