Mental health services for young people
Most young people, at some point, will have difficult times when life is stressful, but there are people who can help. You are not alone.
Find out where you can get support for your mental health
Lots of young people experience mental health problems and disorders – but these are treatable and the earlier a person seeks help, the better the chance of preventing things from getting serious.
Remember, people working to support young people with their mental health want to find the help and support that works for them and to understand what they are experiencing. You can help them to do this by talking with them and letting them know if the process is working for you.
If the help and support that is offered isn't right, you have a right to ask what other options might be available. Many services offer an advocacy service, that is people who can negotiate for and support the person who is receiving help. If you are really unhappy with a service, you can ask to make a complaint.
