Personal Independence Payment - Appeals
Can I appeal if I think a decision is wrong?
Yes. If you disagree with any decision the DWP has made about your PIP claim, you can ask them to look at the claim again. This called a mandatory reconsideration.
You have one month from the date of the decision to ask for this. You have to go through this process before you can appeal to an independent tribunal.
You can click on the following to find more information about them:
• Welfare benefits – mandatory reconsiderations, and
• Welfare benefits – appeals
