Our very long running Wimbledon Wednesday Group has become a key source of information and support in the area. We provide information on local and national services and support and empower one another. The group is for anyone affected by mental illness who is or has been under a Community Mental Health Team. We also talk to local decision makers to try and improve the treatment of all those affected by mental illness. We meet every Wednesday of the year for a relaxed and friendly evening of games, low-cost food and drinks, bingo, chess, art and colouring, Scrabble, chatting and quizzes. We also have a quiet room for those who wish to use it. We have occasional outings, eg to the theatre, cinema, walks, days out to towns and cities, countryside and seaside. We are always looking to do more, so we would welcome any suggestions and support.

The network aims to give people who may be isolated an opportunity to make new friends and enjoy the experience of going to cultural events with a peer group who can appreciate the difficulties of having a personality disorder.
