Our Friendship and Support Group is a relaxed and therapeutic environment for individuals, carers, siblings – anyone affected by mental illness. This may include depression, anxiety, loneliness, bipolar, as well as other conditions. Our friendly group members offer mutual support to each other in an inclusive and non-judgemental atmosphere. Our meetings are informal, with members able to stay as long or little as they wish. No referral is necessary. Just come along.

We provide an opportunity for people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and their family and friends to come together, swap experiences, gain information and, most importantly, support each other. We discuss the various symptoms of BPD, distraction techniques and other coping mechanisms, as well as many other subjects. The group is relaxed and friendly, and members can participate as much or as little as they like.
Our Opening Doors group is a traditional peer support group for people with lived experience of depression, anxiety and social phobia. We welcome men and women of all ages to join us. Our friendly group meets weekly to offer a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere in which people can share their experiences and knowledge. Meetings are relaxed and informal, and this setting helps members to develop their confidence over time. New members are warmly accepted.
We aim to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and fun environment for people with lived experience of mental illness and their carers. In our group, members can express themselves through art as a therapeutic approach.
Our Eckington craft group offers people living with mental illness the opportunity to come together and socialise. Our welcoming group also offers members the chance to develop a range of creative skills, including textiles and sewing, card-making, painting and drawing, in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment. The group is facilitated by friendly and experienced people with a variety of craft expertise. Generally, new members are referred to the group by outside agencies, but anyone is welcome to drop in to meet everyone.
Our Sheffield OCD Support Group offers people affected by OCD, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and hording disorder the chance to come together in a relaxed and welcoming space. Our friendly group meets once a month to share experiences, coping strategies and information, and to offer support and encouragement to each other. We never put pressure on anyone to share how they’re doing. We just offer the space for people to do so freely and without judgement, so our members feel less isolated and more supported. We have strong links with OCD Action, which helps us keep up-to-date with additional help and support that's available to our members, including events focusing on OCD. New members are always welcome.
Our Rotherham Support Group offers people with mental illness the chance to come together in a relaxed and welcoming space. Our friendly group meets every week to socialise, share experiences and offer support and encouragement to each another. We never put pressure on anyone to share how they’re doing. We just offer the space for people to do so freely and without judgement, so our members feel less isolated and more supported. We have a wealth of fact sheets and information for our members to access, as well as information on other local services and organisations, and actively encourage networking with other groups in the Rotherham area. New members are always welcome.
Our Derby Rethink group has been meeting for many years and provides a range of opportunities for members. We meet weekly in an informal setting to offer support through mutual understanding of shared experiences. We are active in raising awareness of mental health in the local community. We also campaign and fundraise to raise money for the group and promote Rethink as a charity. We support each other and welcome new members through a buddying system. Meetings are relaxed and supportive, and members are able to stay as little or long as they are comfortable with. New members are keenly invited to attend with no referral necessary.

We offer traditional peer support in a safe and supportive environment to discuss topics/concerns, share knowledge, information and experiences, raise awareness in the local community through campaigning, visiting speakers and fundraising opportunities.
Our Barnsley OCD group offers people living with OCD and their family members, friends and carers the chance to come together in a supportive and welcoming space. Our friendly group meets monthly to socialise, share experiences and offer support and encouragement to each other, as well as to enjoy a good chat with laughter over a cuppa and a few biscuits. We also arrange outings and activities that we can do together and away from our normal group meetings.
