Devon Supported Housing is an individualised support service funded by Devon Partnership Trust. It offers housing related support to people with low to medium support needs, leaving a hospital or residential setting. We work closely with Service Users to ensure the support they receive is of the highest quality and is right for them. Where possible, we try to provide support at a time which best suits the needs of our Service Users. Rethink uses a “Recovery” model of support, encouraging people to manage and control they own recovery as much as possible. Our Pinhoe Road house consists of five small flats and is situated on the outskirts of Exeter. It is near both bus and train routes and has a good range of shops and amenities close by.

Our IMHA service is free to access and is independent from all other services. Our advocates work with qualifying patients detained under the Mental Health Act (qualifying sections) within the Devon and Torbay area. This includes patients who are detained in hospitals or other secure settings within the local boundaries, but do not otherwise live in the area. The service is also available to people held under Supervised Community Treatment Orders (CTOs) who live within the Devon and Torbay area. The advocates work with people to ensure that they understand their rights, understand any treatments being discussed and have a say in discussions about their care. If the patient has been assessed as lacking capacity to instruct an advocate, advocates will use Non-instructed Advocacy to ensure that the person is still at the centre of all care planning and decisions.
