Introduction

Thanet Employment Service is a free recovery-based service which aims to promote social inclusion through employment opportunities.

We believe that a rewarding work-life balance can be a significant factor in improving well-being and aiding recovery.

We are proud to be delivering our contract working in partnership with Porchlight under the Live Well Project. You can find out more about Live Well Kent here

Who is the Service open to?

We can work with people aged 18+ from the Thanet area, who are experiencing mental health problems and looking for paid employment. 

 

What Services do you provide?

  • Individualised, Intensive, Targeted employment support through regular one to one support sessions
  • Assistance with creating targeted CV’s
  • Setting up email addresses, registering with job sites and assistance with job searching
  • Help with completing job application forms and cover letters
  • Brokering and seeking new job opportunities through Employer Engagement
  • Signposting to training opportunities, such as Maths, English and IT skills
  • Signposting for advice and support with in-work benefits and volunteering
  • Signposting to other Porchlight services and support agencies
  • In-work support and advice for you and your employer
  • Mock Interviews, Virtual Interviews and helpful techniques for Interviews
  • Access to supported employment whilst retaining disability related benefits

You can make a self-referral to our Employment Service or another agency can refer you by contacting us at our email address thanetway@rethink.org
