Recycling for Good Causes
Fancy turning your junk into donations?
There’s a simple way to raise cash for us, without having to spend a penny of your own money.
We work with an organisation called Recycling for Good Causes, who collect and recycle old, unwanted items you might have lying around unloved at home.
They will take old watches, foreign or UK banknotes of any age (not coins); and gold, silver or costume jewellery (even if damaged).
You can just drop an envelope with these items in a post box or at the Post Office - the postage costs you nothing if you use the Freepost address below, and we'll receive the lion’s share of the proceeds (the proceeds from the items you send in are split 75 / 25 in the charity’s favour).
So have a dig around in your bedroom drawers and rummage down the back of the sofa. If you find anything that you no longer want, post it to Recycling for Good Causes, and you will have helped us support even more people with mental illness.
Please note that nothing can be returned once sent in, so do make doubly sure your valuable family heirlooms are not in there - just items that are gathering dust, or broken, or unloved!

And you can now donate your used stamps to raise much needed funds for Rethink Mental Illness, too. All kinds of stamps are welcome, on or off paper.
Simply cut or carefully rip the postage stamp from the used envelope, being careful that you don’t damage the stamp, and once you have a collection pop them in an envelope making sure you have the correct postage to:
RETHINK MENTAL ILLNESS
PO Box 16992
(*postage needs to be applied*)
Alternatively if you would be interested in collecting larger items on behalf of Rethink Mental Illness you could start a Recycling Project with us.
