You could raise even more, in one easy step!
Matched giving is a scheme that some employers choose to adopt as part of a corporate social responsibility strategy.
Essentially this scheme means your company can offer to donate money up to the value of the amount you fundraise. This may be the total amount you raise, a percentage of your total raised or a fixed amount agreed by your company. The amount your company offers to match is entirely at their discretion.
Matched giving is a fantastic opportunity for fundraisers, and could potentially DOUBLE the amount of money you raise. That's even more money from your efforts to help people affected by mental illness.
Is your employer part of the matched giving scheme?
There's no standard procedure with matched giving. Not all companies are able to offer the scheme and those that do provide the funding in different ways. But it's always good to ask!
Why not ask your employer if they will match your funds using our letter template? All you need to do is fill in your details and hand it over to the relevant person at your company, and they'll contact us.
If you'd like to use our letter template please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org telling us who you work for, and we'll get in touch.
