We are the largest mental health charity in England. We support anyone severely affected by mental health problems and we challenge negative attitudes towards mental illness.
We provide support directly to those who need us through a wide range of services including psychological therapies, crisis and recovery houses, peer support groups, advocacy and housing services.
We provide accurate and accessible information to everyone, and were the first mental health organisation to receive the Information Standard accreditation from NHS England. In 2016, our advice service answered over 7,000 phone and email enquiries, and 2.8 million people accessed over 100 factsheets on our website covering all aspects of mental health.
We actively campaign nationally for policy change, and locally for the support needed by people affected by mental illness. We provide services which help shave lives.
Our supporters campaign nationally and locally to improve the lives of those living with a mental illness, as well as speaking out and raising money to help us continue our work.
We couldn’t do this work without the support of over 3,000 members, who are affected by, or care for someone, with a mental illness.
