Get Involved in a Regional Committee
We would be delighted to hear from people with an interest in mental illness, either through lived experience or as a carer or relative. There may also be opportunities for others who have a keen interest in this area and can bring different skills and expertise to assist the Regional Committee in its work.
There are no restrictions to joining; however, you must be an existing member of Rethink Mental Illness or be prepared to join.
We offer an induction and access to support and training for the role.
Alongside this you will receive the Regional Committee handbook and a Rethink Mental Illness identity badge.
Any expenses you incur will be reimbursed in line with our policy; however, overall it is a voluntary role – no member of a committee is paid.

If you want to talk to us first please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will arrange someone from your region to contact you
What happens next?
If there is a vacancy on the Regional Committee in your region your application form will be submitted to the Chair of the Regional Committee who will make contact with you to arrange a meeting. You will be invited to attend a formal Regional Committee meeting as an observer and this will give you an opportunity to see if this is the right role for you.
