Mental illness affects more people every year than cancer or heart disease - one in four of us in the UK will be affected by a mental health problem in any given year. Mental ill health is also the single biggest cause of lost days at work in the UK, and a significant factor in the majority of suicides.
By working with us, your organisation, your staff and your customers can help raise awareness of mental health issues and raise vital funds for people affected by mental illness.
Whatever size your business, we can work with you to put together a mutually beneficial package of activities involving both fundraising and staff engagement activities. We also deliver training on mental health issues, including bespoke courses on mental health for managers. And we have a huge range of events and activities for you to get involved in.
Our corporate supporters include AIG, ITN, Legal & General, and Pizza Hut Restaurants. They take part in a wide range of activities, from staff fundraising through Charity of the Year partnerships, to skills-sharing and sponsorship of events. To find out more about how your company can get involved, please email here.
We have a wide range of standard courses for your staff, including:
Mental Health First Aid (2 days)
Mental Health Awareness (1 day or half day)
Mental Health in the Workplace for Managers (1 day or half day)
Mindfulness, Wellbeing and Resilience (1 day or half day)
Mental Health Awareness e-learning (45 - 60 mins)
Each course gives your teams the opportunity to better understand mental health issues and be more confident to look after themselves and those around them. We can also run bespoke versions of these courses according to your company's requirments, and we can also work with you to use this training to create a network of Mental Health Champions for your business. We can offer places in a huge range of sporting events to your staff, including the London Marathon, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, Great North Run, Royal Parks Half-Marathon, and Tough Mudder. To see the full list, go to get involved.
We run ‘Let’s Rethink Mental Illness Together’ – a baking campaign to get people talking and raising money over a cup of tea and a delicious slice of cake. You can order a fundraising pack here.
We have two annual awareness campaigns you can get involved in, Schizophrenia Awareness Week (3-9 October 2016) and our Time to Talk Day (February 2017), in conjunction with Mind as part of our joint Time to Change campaign.
