Up to the next level
Welcome to the Uthink leadership programme for young people
In this pack, we have put together some short information sheets that support the different sessions in the leadership programme.
The programme aims to give you the chance to learn some new skills, to make new friends and to think about some of the opportunities you may have to get involved with services in your local area.
Over a number of short sessions, you will hear about:
- What makes a good communicator... how to use speech and body language to your advantage.
- How to make what you say interesting and easy to understand.
- Ideas for dealing with difficult situations or questions.
- Tips for looking after yourself and dealing with stress.
The programme also offers the chance to work with the Rethink media team and to try out some of their techniques for media interviews (television, radio etc.).
We hope that you enjoy Uthink – up to the next level and we look forward to working with you!
