A lot of health store vitamin,s an supplements an nutriton are produce by your body without buying any crap. A lot of these so called health store supplements have more side effects than your pych meds. Eat fruit an veg in your diet an you get all you need. An for god sake dont ever just give up your meds for a crazy idea like vitamin.s, or you will be in the pyhc ward prontoPosted Image

Absolutely, don't give up your meds for vitamins!!!

I was simply stating my partner absolutely refuses to touch meds and tnat vitamins were helping a little, not a cure mind you. He doesn't each much in the way of fruit and veg either but I'm slowly getting him to change his mind set...

If a little of something good can help, what harm can it do? and if takinng vitamins on top of medication helps someone else that can only be a good thing surely..

Keep well :)

sure regular vitiamins are ok, best to take a multi vit. but dont start on the supplements like lemom balm .valerian , st john.s wort ect ect or you will be in trouble . and dont ever take ST JOHNS WORT when on any phyc med or it will kill you.

Hi Kerriejoe

Hope you're still doing good. My Partner has his ups and downs, however the ups are better and more frequent than the downs these days.

I'd say try multi vitamins, that way you get the best of everything. Be careful with your meds though, make sure you don't take anything that can counter act or react with them. We want you to feel good and well not yukky and horrible.

xx

I agree, most of vits should come from the food we eat.

I do take Glucosamine though and Fish oil. Trying not to crock up too much :P

I live in my own little world. But it's OK, everyone knows me here.

psychosis isnt just caused by a a chemical imbalance in the brain there are other reasons for it too i think they call it organic psychosis the other form is functional psychosis like scitzophrenia . organic can be caused by physical illness or trauma . i hope ur husband ok and the vitamins are the answer for him it would be a grt outcome .
