I do - so does my other half!! He's looking at the forums with me. Life itself isn't sh*t, just the cr@p that it throws at you. Mushrooms thrive when fed with sh*t, although we had a box of grow your own bought us which I've planted, but they're not growing  .

Just watching QI on Dave with hubby - it gives you a laugh at the absurdities of life  .

Please try to keep your pecker up - people do care.

Love your name - do you own a cat- sorry nobody owns cats, does one live with you  ?

Thanks.

Think I must be a mushroom then.

Have a Cat at my mum's place, who I see occasionally. Live on my own.

We all care but we are all helpless as each other. One on their own is weak and vulnerable but as a association we become a target for our collective enemies. Devil and deep blue sea, I'm gonna have a cup of tea.

I know this endless feeling all too well, sometimes it lingers in the background, the rest of the time it consumes me and controls. I just have to try and distract myself - not easy. Sorry your having a shitty time, Cat, you will turn a corner soon my friend.

Take care out there.

Hi HelpingMyBro

I hope you don't mind, but I love your 'hug' so much I've copied it to the Desktop. Rain drops, like snowflakes, are beautiful until they land on your washing!!!

This Rethink thing is great - so supportive! It's helping me so much.

Loves to you all that read and/or contribute to it!

Remember we're all in this together. I'm as anxious as the next. Especially as I've read the history books. Wish I'd gone more for poetry now.

I care too. I have no wise words, sometimes life can be pretty shitty. But there are a lot of us on here who value your contribution.

Yes, I 'persuaded' him to have a neb (is that a Yorkshire or Midlands term? ), because while I/we all feel alone and that life is ****, he's my 'carer', works and, although he had a heavy night out with 'the guys' (and their zimmer frames) last night (me and Mags (our cat) had a 'Mum's and son's' night in) :) , looks(but not always sees), listens(but not always hears); I, equally, am guilty of the same. We get all too wrapped up in our own 'reality' that we, unintentionally, overlook the 'reality' of others. I should know better claiming to be a postmodernist (ouch, sociological/psychological terminology that basically reflects The Matrix). Reading some of people's experiences on these forums really brings others' 'reality' home!! It's certainly enabled me, not necessarily to see things differently, but to appreciate that this 'thing', 'pain', 'experience' ... is not confined to me. I read of peoples' situations and experiences and it makes me cry, not just because they're so difficult, but I just don't know what to say to make things better. My poor hubby knows well what I'm talking about - no matter what he says sometimes, it'll always be the wrong thing and, of course, it's always his fault!! He takes the crap, but stays with me (I don't know why - so something I also fail to hear or see). As you, and many others on here know, the tenticles of these 'things' reach out beyond those 'diagnosed'!

So, loves and hugs not only to the 'us's' but those around us!

What a lovely post. (Hope he reads this one, it's sometimes easier to say things in writing than in words face to face) :)

I'm OK Mias - But life is a struggle & it's hard.

In a practical, real World, every day sense - I live alone, I have to cope largely alone & life is sh*t.

I know you do. I don't know how you do it sometimes. It must feel as though you are alone in a crowded room.

I could be wrong, although I have sort of got to know you over the years, but it seemed to me that you were feeling quite positive around a week or so ago. Has anything in particular happened to upset you or is it a gradual wearing down? Hey, how are those aches and pains now that the colder weather is setting in?

I have my glucosamine joint tablets! I think they work.
