Siblings workshops
It's important to learn about mental health when your brother or sister is unwell.
This can help you to better understand what is happening, support your sibling and family, and also improve your own emotional wellbeing, helping you to cope with the issues you and your family may face. We offer courses for younger and older siblings.
THIS MONTH: BOOK A FREE PLACE ON OUR YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID COURSE!
Youth Mental Health First Aid
We are offering free Youth Mental Health First Aid courses to siblings aged 17 and over.
The training is based on the Youth Mental Health First Aid course, which focuses in particular on young people’s mental health, but the principles can be applied to people of any age so we'd encourage you to come whatever the age of your brother or sister.
“I now know what positive steps I can take to help my brother back to recovery.”
The training includes modules on common mental health problems, depression and anxiety, suicide and psychosis, self-harm, substance misuse and eating disorders.
