Sibling support groups
Meeting other people who share your experiences can really help. Our sibling support groups provide a forum for you to talk to other people who have a brother or sister with a mental illness and share your experiences and advice in an open and understanding environment.
THIS MONTH: Come along to one of our new groups in Bristol, Exeter and Norwich.
Join a sibling support group
We currently have four sibling support groups and plan to start more across England in the next few months.
If we do not yet have a group in your area, and you would like to join or start a group with the support of Rethink Mental Illness' Siblings Network, email us at siblings@rethink.org
We hold training days for those who would like to set up a group and will support you all the way.
“I shared things with the group that I had never been able to say before, and got a lot of helpful advice from people who had gone through the same things on how they coped.”
Online support
We also have an online forum where siblings can post their questions, share ideas and discuss practical and emotional issues.
