Eating disorders
Sometimes how much someone eats can change at different stages of their lives, but sometimes people can develop problems with the way they eat and see food.
When someone has an eating disorder, they sometimes use food as a way to control things around them. They might worry about their size or body shape, and believe that they are larger than they should be, even if this is not true, and stop themselves eating; or they might eat food to comfort themselves for other feelings and eat more than usual.
If you are worried that your brother or sister is experiencing an eating disorder, it is a good idea to talk to your parents, a teacher, or a school counsellor about your worries and they will be able to suggest ways that you can get help for your sibling.
