Mental Health Recovery Workers will support you to look at your life and to set yourself achievable goals.
- When you are feeling at your lowest, you might ask a Support Worker to call in to check that you are OK and to help to motivate you to look after yourself.
Support workers can help you to organise a ‘make over’, a trip to the hairdressers, or to shop for new clothes.

I need help coping with stress
- Stress often makes it difficult to cope with public transport. Rethink staff can provide gentle ‘transport training’.
Joining a peer support group can show you that we all go through stress and people will share their tips on coping.
- Rethink run condition management programmes with follow up peer support groups.
When you need to take a break Rethink provide the Respite Care Hotel in the New Forest area of Hampshire where understanding staff will organise as much or as little activity as you want to do.

- Rethink workers and the NHS can supply smoking cessation sessions with you
You can be supported to go the gym and to do other physical activities like golf. - Support workers help you to think about healthy eating, and help to plan shopping and to cook meals.

- There are dual diagnosis services within Rethink to help you look at your problems with addictions.
- Rethink can refer you to the appropriate support service to work on your addictions.
- Rethink have smoking cessation workers.

- Use talking therapies to work out ways to manage your life so that you can cut down on addictive behaviour.
