Rethink community services can provide support for you to access a community group e.g. the gym, a college course, a hobby group, your religious community, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, a parent and toddler group etc. - Join a peer support group and as you get more involved you can be involved in planning or in improving our services
Join hobby groups within Rethink or your local adult education service e.g. creative writing or horticulture. Sometimes Rethink even operate a social enterprise so that you can get the real experience of working.

I want to meet people
- Support workers can support you to go to the pub or to join an online community like RethinkTalk, Rethink’s discussion forum for people affected by mental health issues. If you want to improve your social skills they can coach you in ways to approach new people and to make friends.
- You can join with others at Rethink to organise social events and outings which will be supported by our staff
Rethink can help you to choose a college course and support you to speak to college staff and to attend classes.

- Support workers can provide coaching in dating skills and can accompany you as you go out socially.

Sometimes you need to work out how to care for elderly relatives while maintaining your own health. Talking to a support worker can help you to establish your boundaries and he or she can accompany you when you visit them.- A Rethink support worker can help you to advertise for a cleaner, a home help, or a dog walker, or to organise meals on wheels.
