Siblings update
Rethink
Dear Friend

We are excited to announce the launch of the Rethink Siblings website today at www.rethink.org/siblings

Thank you to everyone who has helped us with the project so far, either with ideas, by writing for us, by promoting us to their colleagues and friends or by taking part in our Sibling Survey 2011, which received a great response. Also welcome to all who are new to the network and we look forward to seeing you on the sibling chat forum.

We hope you enjoy the new website, and any feedback is most welcome - just email us at siblings@rethink.org

Best wishes

Rethink Siblings - making waves

To celebrate the launch of the Rethink Siblings site, two of our siblings took to the airwaves on BBC Radio 4's All in the Mind programme to talk about what it is like to have a brother or sister with a mental illness and why the sibling network is so important.

Sibling survey - what did siblings tell us?

We asked siblings and mental health professionals what they wanted from a sibling network, how mental illness had affected them and how their needs could be supported.

We had a great response, and the answers will help shape the project in the years to come. A big thank you to everyone who took part!!

Rethink campaigns for the rights of everyone affected by mental illness and would like to offer siblings the chance to get involved with our campaigns.

There are lots of important campaign activities planned for the next year, from e-campaigns to help make sure mental health services are kept safe in your local community, to our nationwide campaign to make sure the physical health needs of people with mental health are not overlooked.
