Decision Time for Talking Therapies

If you’re a Rethink e-campaigner, you should receive an email from us soon. It’s about the biggest landmark in Government spending for years – the Comprehensive Spending Review.

We want to make sure that the review gives extra funding for people with severe mental illness to receive talking therapies. Why? We all know there are big financial problems at the moment but talking therapies could actually save money because people tend to stay well for longer.

Official guidelines say people with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder should be able to get these therapies as well as medication…but only around half are offered them.

You can make your voice heard now.

Please note, we are also campaigning about other issues, including benefits read more here.
