No Smoking Day

Rethink Mental Illness have been working with the No Smoking Day campaign, providing information and sharing the experiences of people who'd like to quit smoking.

The No Smoking Day campaign helps smokers who want to quit, by creating a supportive environment for them, and by highlighting the many sources of help and advice available.

The next No Smoking Day is on the 14th March 2012.

The Day itself provides an annual focus for the three in every four smokers who want to stop. The No Smoking Day website www.nosmokingday.org.uk offers quit packs, e-mail messages to help you quit and lots of other support and advice.

No Smoking Day also conducts year-round initiatives to encourage and support smokers who want to quit. These projects target specific communities, and aim to address health inequalities by coordinating networks of public health professionals from across the public, voluntary and private sectors.
