Writing to funders of services
If you are not put on the right form of the CPA to use a service or the right people won’t refer you, you could try writing to the staff at the service and to the funders of the service:
If the local council funds the service, write to the Leader of the Council and/or the Chief Executive. If your Primary Care Trust funds the service, write to the PCT Chief Executive.
Download the draft letter which you can use to write to these people:Letter to funders of services (22 kb)![[doc]](http://www.rethink.org/display_images/document_icons/doc.gif)
It’s a good idea to send a copy of this letter to other influential people in the community – for example, your MP or your local councillors. You will need to contact your local council and give your address to find out your local councillors’ names. If you don’t know your MP’s name, find your postcode and phone 020 7219 4272 or use the website: http://www.locata.co.uk/commons/. You can write to your MP at House of Commons, LONDON SW1P 0AA.
