Care for carers

Do you feel that you’re spending too much of your life caring? Do you long for services that would help you in your caring role? Do you long for better services for the person you care for?
Carers can help people with mental illness get access to better services. Carers should also have access to services for themselves. It is important to know your rights and use them.

A guide for carers

One general leaflet that has been useful to carers is called ‘Reach out to help someone with severe mental illness’. If you feel that you are not getting the advice, information or support you need from professionals, get a free copy of this leaflet to show professionals in your discussions with them.
