There are many organisations that provide information, advice or support to people affected by mental illness in the criminal justice system. Here are a few:
Justice provides information on agencies in the Criminal Justice System. You can locate prisons and courts within different regions of the UK.
Prison Advice and Care Trust (PACT) is a charity which supports people affected by imprisonment, providing practical and emotional support to prisoner’s children, families and to prisoners themselves. They work at a number of prisons across the UK, support the families of prisoners, run family-friendly visitors' centres outside prisons, children's play services in prison visits halls, and more.

Partners of Prisoners and Families Support Group provide information and support to the families of offenders from their earliest contact with the Criminal Justice System, through to release and beyond. POPS deliver a variety of services both locally and nationally.
They are currently contracted to deliver the Offenders' Families Helpline. The Offenders' Families Helpline provides information and support to anyone supporting an offender through their contact with the Criminal Justice System. Translation services are available for those whose first language is not English.

Victim Support are an independent organisation who provide free and confidential help to anyone affected by crime, including victims and witnesses. They provide information and advice on the criminal justice system, emotional support to help people deal with the feelings associated with being affected by a crime and practical support such as completing insurance forms or getting medical help.
