Practical information for carers

Especially during a relative's first crisis and early stages of a mental illness, it can be a frightening and confusing time not only for the individual, but also for their family and carers.
The unknown aspect of what's involved and what is to come, is for many people is extremely stressful. Knowing where to turn to for help and accurate information about the situation can help to alleviate some of this distress.

This section looks to address some of these 'unknowns' within mental health, which can be very confusing or frightening for people new to engaging with mental health services - from the perspective of carers.

If you need some information that is not covered inthis section, or within the information parts of the website, you can contact the Rethink National Adsvice Service, who will be able to advise you on a range of mental health related issues and difficulties.
