Research

Research is vital to our understanding of mental illness. It provides us with information about some of the causes and treatments for people with mental health problems as well as appropriate services and other interventions.

TogetherThe research we conduct at Rethink Mental Illness assists us as an evidence-based organisation, leading service and policy improvements. As a membership charity we deliver research that meets the needs of our members, service users, carers and services.

We work with our services to develop routine data capture systems, and support the evaluation of service innovations, in order to demonstrate their effectiveness. In partnership with our campaigns team we ensure that our findings are heard and make a difference to the lives of people affected by mental illness.
