Description

Doncaster TONIC offers carers the opportunity to have a break from their caring role by receiving a respite visit from one of our Community Mental Health Workers, who will spend time with the cared for person. This gives the carer some peace of mind whilst taking some ‘time-out’, allowing them to set aside their own space in the day.

The service can be delivered in the home, in the community, or in one of our regular, structured group activity sessions.

The service offers up to 10 sessions of respite a year per service user, and each session lasts between 2-3 hours. Carers are able to use these sessions as and when required within the service hours, throughout the year.
