Campaigning online

Social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and many others are a great way to reach a lot of people without leaving your computer. You can find out how many other people are interested in the issue you want to campaign about, discuss it on forums such as Rethink Talk and gather support.

Social networking sites imageSometimes you may see comments online that you disagree with. One way to tackle this would be to give your response on the same site.

So if you see a comment on a Facebook page that you want to challenge, add your comment on that page.

You could also set up a Facebook group in protest and gather supporters that way.

Remember, always let Rethink Mental Illness Twitter and Facebook pages know about your campaign so you can gather support and discuss ideas.

Why not get onto our online forum Rethink Talk and see who else wants to support your campaign or discuss the issues you want to raise www.rethink.org/talk
