Uthink London

group of childrenUthink London is a recovery learning programme aimed at young people aged 14-18 working across London.

Uthink London will deliver:

  • Emotional Health and Well Being Programmes - bespoke, targeted provision for young people who have or are at risk of developing severe mental illness. Delivered over 8 sessions, the course is designed to increase the young people’s confidence, coping strategies, self esteem and communication skills through interactive activity.
  • Mental Health Awareness Sessions – universal provision for 14-18 year olds in schools offering information, advice and guidance in an interactive workshop.
  • Leadership Programmes – bespoke, 2 day training opportunities for graduates of the Emotional Health and Well Being Programmes – or can be undertaken independently – to offer young people opportunities in personal and professional development e.g. steps to employment, media volunteering, campaigning & activism.
  • Siblings Programmes- for siblings aged 14-25 – tailor-made projects for young people who have a sibling with severe mental illness -includes peer support and coping strategies as well as information about mental health problems.

We are keen to work closely with BME groups to ensure that our programmes are as accessible to as many young people as possible.

We are currently consulting with Siblings about the content and delivery of our Young Siblings Programme. If you know or are a Sibling aged between 14 and 25 and would like to help us shape the content of the programme please contact Selena.Grogan@rethink.org or Kirstin.Maguire@rethink.org
