Measuring outcomes

Outcome measures contributionsRethink Mental Illness welcomes the increasing emphasis on measuring mental health services by their outcomes – both in terms of clinical outcome measures such as under 75 mortality rate in people with serious mental illness, and Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).

We are always looking for ways to increase choice and control and make outcome measurement meaningful in our own services, integrating personal goal planning with measuring outcomes.

We are in the process of implementing tools across our services to enable staff to work with individuals to identify the outcomes that matter to them, and tailor support and measure performance against those outcomes.
