Our service delivery
We place the people who use our services at the centre of their delivery. Find out more about what this means in practice
It has a deep understanding of the users’ and carers’ perspectives – and it is… influenced by those perspectives.
Commissioner
User and carer involvement
The majority of our Board of Trustees are people who have used mental health services or who care for a family member experiencing mental health problems. We also encourage the involvement of people who use our services, carers, staff and volunteers in all aspects of our service delivery and in how mental health services are delivered locally.
Recovery approach
Recovery is at the heart of the services we offer. We work closely with the people who use our services to help them set individual goals and make informed choices about their futures. We help those experiencing severe mental illness to take active steps towards their own recovery and support them as they do this.
Individual person-centred care
We are taking practical steps to ensure that individual person-centred care is embedded in our services. We encourage those who use our services to take an active role in developing their own care plans and we help them acquire the skills, knowledge and confidence to do this.
Social inclusion
We are striving to ensure that all our services promote social inclusion. We help those who use our services play as full a part in the community as possible and provide many services within a community setting, for example our community support and employment and training services.
