Take Action!

Politics effects everything we do in life. That is why it is important to have your say so that the issues you care about get heard! Find out how...
Vote!
Want to have your say about things that matter? Voting is the best way to do this.
You can vote in both local and general elections. You vote for the candidate in your area who wants to work towards issues you feel are important.
The Electoral Commission provides further information about why voting is important.
Your MP
Your MP is a good person to approach if you have an issue that you feel is important. You can visit your MP or write to them.
You can also find out what is going on in Parliament or Stormont (if you live in Northern Ireland) to keep up to date with debates that are taking place, what legislation is currently going through and who the MPS, MLAs and Lords are.
Join the movement!
Join the movement and campaign on issues important for people affected by mental illness.
You can do a little or a lot - whatever time you have to spare - but you can do something!
If there is a local issues you are passionate about why not campaign locally. Check out Rethink's local campaign toolkit and you can speak to the Rethink Campaigns Department for further advice.
Tell us about it!
Do you have an experience you want to share? Tell us about it! Your experiences can help us bring about change.

It is now possible to take part in discussions with MPs and members of the Cabinet via webchats.
