Campaigning for change

Rethink campaigns for a better quality of life for everyone affected by severe mental illness. We push for national policy change by lobbying people in power on crucial mental health issues, and  campaign locally to ensure people can access the help they need. Get involved today and help to make our voice louder.

General Election 2010 Campaign

General Election Campaign motif

Rethink's General Election 2010 Campaign is about making sure that the next government cares about mental illness. We are aiming to get 10,000 people to sign our petition, and as many as possible to send a message to PPCs (parliamentary candidates). We also want PPCs to sign up to our pledge. And most of all we want whoever wins the next election to hear a shout from every Rethink supporter - "I care about mental illness and I want a government that cares too"

Our campaigns

  • Breaking Down the Wall LogoBreaking Down the Wall - We want to break down the wall of discrimination faced by people with severe mental illness, brick by brick.
  • Opening Doors- We want everyone affected by severe mental illness to get quality services and support for good mental and physical health.
  • We Care, We Count - We're making sure carers for people with severe mental illness get the support they need.

  • Time to Change - This programme to end discrimination faced by people who are affected by mental illness, is a partnership between Rethink and Mind. It consists of 28 local community projects around England, as well as 7 national projects
